SCHS Chemistry Students Recognized in Georgia Tech Math and Science of Athletics STEAM Challenge
Early in October, chemistry students in Dr. Dass's and Ms. Bradford's classes competed in a Math and Science of Athletics STEAM challenge sponsored by Georgia Tech. We are so proud of all the students and the creative and innovative ideas that were brought forth during this challenge. Four groups of students were recognized for their designs by a panel of judges from Georgia Tech.
Student groups recognized:
Most Creative Design (DAB)- Austin Hall, Thaily Cisneros, Connor Bank, Arshan Virani, and Nathan Trompke
Most Creative Pitch (Flex Glove)- Alanah Francois, Alana Smith, Logan Hazlett, and Gabrielle Brown
Best Technical Research - Zaria Pettway, Mike Muldrow, Hannah Hoggs, Madison Tolbert, and Jeanique DeBurgo
Best Overall (Happy Feet) - BJ Boulware, Khalil Meikle, Maddy Lohr, and Alan Nguyen
These students will participate in the final round of this challenge against one another and the top teams from other schools in our district later in November at the Board Office.
Congratulations to all these students! There are great things happening at THE CREEK!
