Some lucky Fayette County Public Schools families will get a head start on the year thanks to a back-to-school supply drive at the Fayetteville branch of United Community Bank.
The staff at United Community Bank recognized that some families struggle to buy critical school supplies needed in classrooms, so they created a way for generous customers to help. Throughout July, bank staff and customers participated in the drive to gather supplies and funds to donate to the school system.
The Fayette County Public Schools Student Services team will work with school counselors to distribute the supplies to those in need as the year begins.
