McIntosh wins big at State K-12 Invention Convention
McIntosh High students won the most special awards and secured 1st place overall at the State K-12 Invention Convention at Georgia Tech, standing out among over 100 teams.
Senior Raaga Sundar won 1st Place Overall & Iron CAD Award for 3D Printed Aluminum for Martian Rovers. Junior Aadi Vaidya won the Patent Award for TremorTech: A Parkinson's Glove. Sophomore Lara Otico won the Patent Award for Speuro: Kudzu Biomolecules. Sophomore Corin Staples won the Sports, Games, Toys Award & People's Choice Award for 3-Sided Coin: A Fair Coin Toss.
Sundar will represent Georgia in the national competition in Michigan this June.
“This incredible accomplishment is a testament to our students' innovation, dedication, and problem-solving skills,” said McIntosh STEM Coordinator Seth Bishop. “We are immensely proud of their hard work and creativity in tackling real-world challenges.”
