Schools Earn Highest Performing and Greatest Gains Awards from Governor’s Office


A total of six Fayette County schools are among the 218 Georgia public schools in 53 districts that received highest performance and/or greatest gains school awards from the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement based on scores from the College and Career Performance Index (CCRPI).Schools Earn Highest Performing and Greatest Gains Awards from Governor’s Office

Highest performing schools must earn a three-year average CCRPI Achievement Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile. Greatest gains schools must earn a three-year average CCRPI Progress Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile. Each award category has a platinum, gold, silver, and bronze tier.

Kedron Elementary, McIntosh High and Peeples Elementary each earned awards in both greatest gains and highest performing categories. Kedron Elementary received a silver award in greatest gains and a platinum award in highest performing. McIntosh High earned a platinum award in greatest gains and a gold award in highest performing. Peeples Elementary received a gold award in greatest gains and a silver award in highest performing. These schools are among just 51 in 14 districts that received awards in both categories.

Both Braelinn Elementary and Peachtree City Elementary received a silver award in the highest performing category, and Rising Starr Middle received a gold award in the highest performing category. A total of 130 schools across 22 districts received highest performing awards.
