Two students from Fayette County High took first place honors for a news video they shot and produced for a contest sponsored by Georgia SkillsUSA and ESE (Education Sports Entertainment) Networks.
Miles Berry and CJ Lowe, students in the school’s audio/video technology and film program, won the competition for their news feature based on the prompt, “A Day in the Life of SkillsUSA.” Their prize was equipment for their school, which included cameras, tripods, and accessories.
The contest was designed for students to creatively showcase their favorite aspects of SkillsUSA. The students shot the two-minute feature while attending the Georgia SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference held recently in Atlanta; a total of 15 entries were submitted to the competition.
