High School Clarinetist Featured at Woodruff Education Luncheon


A local high school musician was a featured performer at this year’s annual Woodruff Arts Center Education Luncheon.High School Clarinetist Featured at Woodruff Education Luncheon

Clarinetist Alisha Zamore, an 11th grader at McIntosh High, was among the student performers and artists featured at the luncheon who are participants in teen programs sponsored by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Alliance Theatre and High Museum of Art.

Zamore has been an active musician in the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony, Southern Crescent Symphony Orchestra, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Talent Development Program.

Additionally, she has placed first chair in the Georgia Music Educators Association’s All State Orchestra for the past five years. Last year, she placed fourth at the 2016 International High School Solo Clarinet Competition.

Zamore has attended several prestigious music festivals, and has been accepted to attend the Aspen Music Festival this summer in Colorado.
