A local teacher has been selected to be a member of the Dream Team, a group dedicated to the expansion of business and computer science courses and curriculum in Georgia.
Allen Beall, a business and computer science teacher at McIntosh High, is among the approximately 15 teachers throughout Georgia selected for the Dream Team. The team is led and operated by the Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Department of the Georgia Department of Education.
As a team member, he will play a vital role in advancing and expanding business and computer science in Georgia. This includes developing and implementing fresh and creative ideas, providing mentoring support for new and/or struggling teachers, determining professional development needs in the content areas and geographic regions, establishing a statewide network of guest speakers, considering new options for end-of-pathway assessments, and reviewing current course offerings as needed and making suggestions for new offerings.
Team members serve for two years.
