The Whitewater High School Wind Ensemble has just received its sixth invitational performance that will take place next year in February.
The ensemble has been invited to perform at the 2018 University of Alabama High School Honor Band Festival. The festival is an event developed for the purpose of recognizing the achievements of exceptional high school musicians. Each year the university’s music department selects three to five high schools, from those that have applied, to perform at the event.
The performance will take place on February 2, 2018 at the Frank Moody Concert Hall on the campus of the University of Alabama.
The Whitewater High School Wind Ensemble’s previous invitational performances include the University of Georgia January Music Festival (2009); Georgia Music Educator’s Association In-Conference (2009); Georgia State University Rialto Center Concert Series (2011); Georgia State University Rialto Center Concert Series (2013); and University of Georgia January Music Festival (2014).
