Army JROTC cadets from around the state participated in the annual competition that was comprised of armed and unarmed drill and ceremony regulation and exhibition routines. The numerous hours of practice of the Fayette County High brigade came to fruition at the competition as they were named state champions in Regulation Armed Platoon and in Female Regulation Unarmed Platoon.

However, their victories did not stop there. The cadets went on to secure fourth place in Regulation Unarmed Platoon, fifth place in Regulation Armed Squad, and were named the runner-up in Female Regulation Unarmed Squad.

Fayette County High’s Army JROTC program is under the direction of First Sergeant Anthony Bell. He was extremely proud of his cadets for their spirit and strength demonstrated at the competition.

“Who runs this show? We run this show,” Bell commented following the announcement of the awards.
