REACH interns perform a variety of duties at Panasonic such as coffee cart service, sorting and shredding documents, reconciling invoices, etc. Panasonic also provided students with an opportunity to produce a paperweight promoting their new motto.

To show their appreciation, REACH students served lunch to two Panasonic employees. Nine students came together and put their cooking skills to the test creating a delicious meal which included chicken nachos, Mexican rice, and refried beans.

REACH program teacher Jenny Bellamy, says “The employees were thrilled! They really enjoyed getting to know the students better.”

“Panasonic is so supportive of our program and we are thrilled to show them our gratitude by inviting them to lunch,” says Bellamy.

REACH is a program for students with developmental disabilities ages 18-21 that helps them get into the workforce and become independent and productive citizens. Partnerships with different businesses like Panasonic make it possible for REACH students to utilize independence and self-discipline.
