Schools Earn Highest Performing and Greatest Gains Awards from Governor’s Office

A total of eight Fayette County schools are among the 189 Georgia public schools in 58 districts that received highest performance and/or greatest gains school awards from the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement based on scores from the College and Career Performance Index (CCRPI). Schools Earn Highest Performing and Greatest Gains Awards from Governor’s Office

Highest performing schools must earn a three-year average CCRPI Achievement Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile. Greatest gains schools must earn a three-year average CCRPI Progress Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile. Each award category has a platinum, gold, silver and bronze tier.

McIntosh High and Rising Starr Middle each earned awards in both the greatest gains and highest performance categories. Both schools received platinum in greatest gains and gold in highest performance. They are among just 46 schools in 14 districts that received awards in both categories.

Braelinn Elementary, J.C. Booth Middle, Peachtree City Elementary, and Starr’s Mill High received awards in the highest performing category. Peachtree Elementary received gold, and Braelinn, J.C. Booth and Starr’s Mill each received silver. They are among 105 schools across 19 districts to earn awards in the highest performance category.

Flat Rock Middle and Oak Grove Elementary received awards in the great gains category, both won gold awards. They are among 130 schools across 55 districts to receive a greatest gains award.
