Their artwork caught the eyes of the staff in the Fayette County Public Schools Transportation Department, so much so that it has been selected to represent the school system in the Georgia Department of Education’s School Bus Safety Poster Contest. 
Madison Coscodar of Inman Elementary won the Fayette County poster contest for Division 1 while Ava Davis of Spring Hill Elementary won in Division 2.
The poster contest is part of National School Bus Safety Week, which takes place the third week in October, and is designed to remind the public about the importance of using caution around school buses.
More than 130 Fayette students submitted entries in the contest, whose theme was “Be Safe – Know the Danger Zone.” Each poster had to incorporate the slogan into its design.
