Tiger Cubs create array cities

The Tiger Cubs of Fayetteville Elementary have a wide array of talents, and they recently added to their tool kit by creating array cities. Students in Paulette Williams’s 3rd grade class have been learning how to use models and strategies: repeated addition, skip counting, arrays, and equal groups to solve multiplication problems. To extend their understanding of arrays, students created array cities including at least 5 buildings of various sizes.
