Traveling trunk takes Hounds’ learning to new heights

A special exhibit on the Tuskegee Airmen took the Huddleston Hounds’ learning to new heights. The display, on loan from Kennesaw State University as part of their Traveling Trunk program, reinforced the students’ recent studies of World War II.

Hounds in Allyson Merchant and Paula Nellessen's 5th grade classes worked in small groups and traveled around the exhibit to learn about the importance and the contributions of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African American pilots to fly in combat during WWII.
