The world of Kedron Elementary joined together for an evening celebrating their Knights with ties around the globe. International Night saw presenters and performers at Kedron share their hearts about the countries they are from, and many students took part, as well.
It was a celebration of cultures from around the world, including artifacts, local foods, and native attire worn by participants. The idea came from the PTO as a way to celebrate the school’s diversity together.
The evening was a hit with students, staff, and families, and they plan to grow it exponentially next year.
“Kedron Elementary is a school that celebrates and embraces each individual, and this wonderful evening provided a platform to celebrate one another,” said Principal Jamie Voorhies. “International Night exemplified our school theme this year which is ‘Believe in You.’ The night represented each of us believing in ourselves, as well as celebrating who we are. It was a magical experience.”
