School Nutrition Program Celebrates World School Milk Day
From milk mustaches to cow costumes, faculty and students across the county celebrated World School Milk Day on September 25th.
World School Milk Day highlights the healthy benefits and value milk can have on a student’s ability to stay alert and ready to learn.
Fayette County students and faculty enjoyed fun activities including taking photos at the milk mustache photo booth and an ice cream dessert during lunch.
Dressed up as cows, the school nutrition program visited schools across the county handing out stickers, pencils, and golf towels.
The school system’s lead school nutrition program manager Ginger McCann says, “Teachers, faculty, and school administrators joined in on the fun.”
