Fayette Schools Honor Teachers During National Teacher Appreciation Week

Without teachers, Fayette County Public Schools wouldn’t be able to educate and impact the lives of more than 20,000 students each day. Fayette Schools Honor Teachers During National Teacher Appreciation Week

To show our appreciation for their hard-work and dedication, the Fayette County Public School System will recognize and thank over 1,400 Fayette County teachers during National Teacher Appreciation Week May 4 – 8.

Even with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, teachers are continuing to provide our students with the inspiration, motivation, and determination they need to succeed, not only academically, but also socially, emotionally and mentally.

Due to COVID-19, schools across the county will be celebrating their teachers virtually during the week-long celebration with special hand-written letters and various other at-home activities.

Fayette County Public Schools wouldn’t be a place ‘Where Excellence and Creativity Merge’ without our amazing teachers. Join us this week by saying thank you to a teacher who has spent countless hours ensuring our students have a world class education and a successful future.
