LIFE Academy talks juvenile justice

At LIFE Academy, learning goes beyond just the old reading, writing, and arithmetic, it’s about preparing you for life. Recently they took a deep dive into the law and minors. 

Joi Gaitor, Juvenile Specialist with the Department of Juvenile Justice, presented a series of interactive sessions entitled "The Law and You" for students enrolled at LIFE Academy. The sessions focused on state laws, focusing on specific laws related to minors.

Chris Key, LIFE academy program manager, was impressed to see the talks connect with everyone. 

"Students were actively engaged and learned how the law affects them,” said Key. “Teachers also learned about the juvenile justice system and laws impacting students."
