School system increases pay rate for substitutes

Make a difference in the lives of students and be a substitute teacher. Now, the decision to get involved is easier than ever as Fayette County Public Schools announces an increase in pay rate for substitute teachers for the 2022-2023 school year. As an added incentive, substitutes who work more than 20 days in a school year will have their rate increased by $20 per day.

Daily Substitute Teacher Rates:

Valid Teaching Certificate (Any State) - $110 (increased from $100)

Expired Teaching Certificate (Any State) - $100 (increased from $95)

Four Year College or at Least 1 Year Relevant Experience  - $100 (increased from $95)

Former parapro of Fayette County Public Schools with para license - $100 (increased from $95)

 

Long Term Substitute Teacher Rates:

Valid Teaching Certificate (Any State) - $130 (increased from $115)

Retired Teaching Certificate (May work up to 45 days in same job) -  $130.00 

Expired Teaching Certificate (Any State) - $120 (increased from $110)

Four Year College Degree - $120 (increased from $110)

 

Paraprofessional/Instructional Assistant Substitutes: 

Valid Teaching Certificate (Any State) - $ 85.00 (increased from $75)

Expired Teaching Certificate (Any State) $ 85.00 

Four Year College Degree or Above $ 85.00 

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent $ 85.00
