Publix donates over $33,000 to Fayette County Public Schools

Shoppers who donated to the “Tools for Back-to-School” campaign at Publix Supermarket registers this summer helped raise $33,300 for Fayette County Public Schools.

Funds were distributed via gift cards to all 25 of Fayette’s public schools to purchase school supplies, fulfill food insecurities, and provide personal care items for students who are in need.

“We are very grateful for the generosity of our Fayette County community and for the continuous support of Publix Supermarkets through their Tools for Back-to-School initiative,” said Melinda Berry-Dreisbach, public information officer for Fayette County Public Schools. “These gift cards will help provide the necessities that students need for school success.”
