A Letter from Principal Amy Hammock

  • McIntosh Family:
I am proud to serve and support the McIntosh High School community as principal for the 2024-2025 school year. As an assistant principal here for the past eight years, I am deeply honored to continue my journey with this outstanding community. McIntosh High School’s exceptional academic, athletic, and fine arts programs, along with its rich traditions and commitment to student achievement, are well-known. I am dedicated to building upon these strengths and collaborating with students, parents, teachers, and staff to ensure our school continues to excel.
As we embark on this new chapter together, my goal is to uphold the values and traditions that make McIntosh High School special, while also striving for continuous improvement and innovation. I am committed to supporting teachers and parents, as I believe that through collaboration, we can create a nurturing and enriching environment where every student can achieve their fullest potential.
With over 26 years of classroom and leadership experience, I am looking forward to continuing our productive partnership to ensure your child’s success. I know that our students have a passion for improving their community and a genuine desire to do well in life. I believe that by working together, we can create a supportive environment where they can reach their personal bests.
My primary goals for the upcoming school year are:

    • COMMUNICATION - to develop a strong collaborative relationship with teachers, students, parents, and staff to determine the goals and expectations of McIntosh High School.
    • CURRICULUM - to continue to enhance instruction through the use of data-driven decisions and best practices so that all students achieve their potential.
    • CULTURE - to continue to build excitement and momentum for the varied programs at McIntosh while celebrating the accomplishments of our students both inside and outside of the classroom.

Working together, we will continue to enhance instruction and build on the successes of our thriving fine arts community and athletic programs. As you think of what McIntosh means to your family, I encourage you to contact me and tell me two things:
What do you love about being a Chief?
What do you want me to know about McIntosh High School?
Each and every Chief plays a significant role in ensuring the success of McIntosh High School. I am confident that with your commitment and involvement, we will have an outstanding 2024-2025 school year. I look forward to working with you over the coming years.
    Go CHIEFS!
    Sincerely,
    Amy Hammock
