Local middle students performed well at the Griffin RESA 2023-2024 Regional Literacy Days Competition.
Alisa Chmielewski of Rising Starr won for 6th grade Poetry Recitation, and Clayton Mayfield of Whitewater Middle won for 7th grade Poetry Recitation.
Amelia Pakiz of Whitewater Middle finished second for 6th grade Ready Writing.
The Griffin RESA Regional Literacy Days Festival includes students from the school systems of Butts, Fayette, Henry, Lamar, Newton, Pike, Spalding, and Upson counties.
