The public is invited to review textbooks for French, German and Spanish that are being recommended to the Fayette County Board of Education for adoption.
The recommended textbooks are (French language) Bien Dit! Series (Levels 1-3) by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Thèmes (AP French) by Vista Higher Learning; (German language) Deutsch Aktuell (Levels 1-3) by EMC School; and (Spanish language) Autèntico (Levels 1-4) by Pearson.
Samples of the textbooks are on display at the LaFayette Educational Center, located at 205 LaFayette Avenue in Fayetteville, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The textbooks will be available for review through March 17.
The textbooks can also be viewed online. For French, visit preview.hrw.com and enter sample word NAWL18 to create a temporary account to view the text. For AP French, visit http://vhicentral.com. The username is “apfrench@fcboe.org,” and the password is “Fayette2017.”
For German, visit http://emc.bookshelf.emcp.com, and click login. The username is “fayette” and the password is “fayettegerman.” Click on the links to view the Passport Platform and the iCulture Access. For the iCulture Access, select “German” and enter password 8C4KRU2L and click the checkmark.
For Spanish, visit www.pearsonrealize.com. Enter username “ga_autentico” and for the password use “password1.”
