Welcome from the Principal

    Dear Fayetteville Elementary Family,

     Ms. Lawrence, Principal

Welcome back to an exciting 2019-2020 school year at Fayetteville Elementary School! The staff is thrilled that you have entrusted your child's education to us. It is our goal to create an enriched learning environment that engages each child. Fayetteville Elementary has an excellent teaching staff with a wealth of knowledge and an outstanding support staff who work in different capacities to suppmt your child's learning. Of course, you are your child's first teacher, and we encourage and welcome your support and cooperation. Along with your assistance, I am committed to fostering an optimal teaching and learning environment for all.

We are embarking on our sixth year of implementation of The Leader in Me framework and our third year being recognized as a Leader in Me Lighthouse School! The principles that our students are learning have and will continue to make them outstanding and contributing members of society. As an addition to The Leader in Me journey, we will continue to incorporate Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). These two frameworks mirror each other as we strive to promote an effective school environment that will continue to increase teaching and learning for all students. Standards-based report cards are being implemented in Kindergarten through third grade this school year. More information regarding this initiative will be shared at Curriculum Night and parent conferences.

Additionally, we encourage you to become an active participant in our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The PTO is a wonderful and integral part of our school community. It is a great way for you to share ideas and support the mission of the school. Another way to get involved includes volunteering by helping in classrooms, chaperoning field trips, organizing classroom celebrations and offering to share your area of expertise in the class or school.

I sincerely believe in a school environment that is collaborative in nature and draws on the strengths of all stakeholders in striving to improve student outcomes. Working together makes a difference in the lives of our students. I look fo1ward to working with all of the wonderful students, parents and stakeholders of Fayetteville Elementary.

  • From the Assistant Principal's Desk...

    Dear Fayetteville Elementary Family,

Welcome to Fayetteville Elementary School. We are the home of the Cubs and we have high expectations for all.

As your new Assistant Principal, I would like to introduce myself and let you know that I am thrilled to be a member of the Cub Family. I have been an educator in Fayette County for the last 16 years, and have been an Assistant Principal for the last six. I love what I do and I truly believe that working together we can empower all of our students for success.

At FES we have a partnership between students, families and our surrounding community.  Our staff will provide you with challenging academics and allow your child to use a creative outlet in a loving and caring atmosphere.  We believe in hard work and we will work with your child to reach their potential in all that they accomplish.

At Fayetteville Elementary school there is an open door policy and we love input from all our families. We encourage you to help your child with homework and read with your child nightly. Additionally, feel free to volunteer in your child’s classroom, get involved with our PTO or simply come by just to have lunch with your child.

We invite you to become a part of our Cub family.
