Message From Our Principal
Welcome to Crabapple Lane Elementary, home of the Cardinals! We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways, filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. Our school currently has 593 students enrolled for the 2017-2018 school year.
As the new principal, I am honored to lead the Crabapple Lane community, which is known far and wide for its dedication to excellence, but more importantly, to children. This is my thirty-third year as an educator in Fayette County and I look forward to the opportunity of serving our school community in my new position. I consider my most important job to be that of a child advocate. I will spend a lot of time with your children, getting to know their personalities and interests. I will celebrate their successes, small and large. I will encourage them every day and let them know they are valued and have a special place in our school community.
The teachers at Crabapple Lane spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to engage our students in learning. Each teacher and staff member works very hard to establish important relationships with all students to ensure they are healthy, happy and safe. When our students are healthy, happy and safe, academic and social growth will fall right into place!
Our vision at Crabapple Lane is to equip and empower lifelong learners who are compassionate and responsible problem solvers within a diverse community. I will work diligently to support our teachers, staff and you, as parents, to transform our vision into a reality for our students.
I would like to challenge each of you to be involved at Crabapple Lane as a classroom volunteer, a Media Center helper or work with our awesome PTO on a committee. We have numerous opportunities for you to help in our school. Please visit our PTO website for more information on how you can get involved. CLES PTO I also would like to encourage our returning family members to reach out and get to know our new Crabapple Lane families in order for them to feel welcomed and supported as they get acclimated to our community. It’s very important we all work together to be successful.
In closing, please know if you have any questions or concerns, I want to know. When we work together collaboratively there is nothing we can’t accomplish. We all have a common interest and goal in mind and that is ….. What’s best for our children. Together We Soar!
