Dr. Kristin Berryman, Principal
Welcome to Peachtree City Elementary School – home of the Panthers. I hope that you will consider becoming an integral part of the Peachtree City Elementary School family for this school year.
The staff will provide a challenging academic curriculum in a safe and supportive environment where all children can succeed. Your child will be involved in a variety of educational experiences in the areas of reading, language arts, science, mathematics, social studies, art, music, physical education, and technology. The curriculum is designed to address the needs of all children, whether there is a need for enrichment or remediation.
I want each of you to feel welcome and needed as we work together to reach common goals. Our program is what it is because of a dedicated staff and a community that concentrates on the processes that spur continuing advancement – evaluating what we have, determining what we can do to improve, and identifying what we need to make those improvements. Your interest in our program is vital. I encourage you to get involved in your child’s education by helping with homework, encouraging reading, volunteering at school, attending parent/teacher conferences, and supporting PTO.
John Gibbas, Assistant Principal
My name is John Gibbas, and I am extremely excited about stepping into the role as the assistant principal at Peachtree Elementary School this year. This is my twenty-eighth year in the education field, and my nineteenth year in administration. I have spent the majority of my teaching career in Illinois, and the last two years as the principal at Sara Harp Minter Elementary School. I am looking forward to getting to know the students, the parents, the staff, and the community.
One of my greatest joys in this position is my ability to create strong relationships with the students, and I hope to continue fulfilling that role as the assistant principal here at Peachtree City Elementary. I am also looking forward to continuing to work toward academic success for all students here at Peachtree City Elementary, as I work collaboratively with the teachers and students to help them be the best they can be.
Please know that my door is always open, so do not hesitate to call or email me, because I believe that the school and parent partnership is crucial to the success of each child.
I anticipate a most successful year as we work together to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of your child here at Peachtree City Elementary School.
As the Assistant Principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make this the best year yet!
I look forward to working with you and your child!
