Sandy Creek’s Hutcherson up for Hidden Heroes

Angela Hutcherson prepares Patriots to thrive at life. Hutcherson, a Financial Services Pathway instructor at Sandy Creek High, is nominated for the Hidden Heroes: Honoring Leaders Worth Imitating campaign hosted by the Georgia Leadership Institute on School Improvement (GLISI).

The nomination spoke glowingly of Hutcherson.

“She's a technology guru with expertise in employing the use of current technology in all aspects of one's life and work. She's highly engaging and articulate; has personality plus and maintains a robust array of choices she can provide her students for building their capacity in preparation for their futures.”

She cares about helping her kids succeed, even after they have left her classroom.

“Angela is all about ensuring that her students are well-prepared for their futures, whether or not they will attend college or pursue a career,” and she is an “exemplary educator who puts her heart and energy in everything she does toward advancing educational opportunities for students.”

Each year the GLISI opens the campaign to highlight education leaders who may not receive the recognition they deserve for their tireless work. Voting is open now, and the entries with the most votes receive cash prizes and will be featured across GLISI's social media.
