The Atlanta and Southern Region divisions of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) have recognized Public Information Officer Melinda Berry-Dreisbach with awards of excellence for demonstrating strategic acumen, innovative thinking, and creative skills that deliver important results and significant outcomes.
Berry-Dreisbach received a 2023 IABC Southern Region Silver Quill Award of Excellence for her marketing plan that increased enrollment at the Fayette Virtual Academy 43% from the previous year. The entry was also awarded best in division and best in show.
She received a 2023 IABC Atlanta Golden Flame award for the same work.
Winning entries meet the IABC’s 7-Point Global Scale of Excellence as evaluated against a stringent set of rubrics by seasoned communication professionals from throughout different parts of the world.
Other winners included Nissan Americas, Cox Enterprises, GoDaddy, Southern Company Gas, Georgia Power, and Piedmont Healthcare.
