    Academic Bowl Promotes academic excellence.  Academic Bowl is limited to 15 participants and requires a "tryout" test and fee to join. The $20 required fee includes t-shirt and registration fee. (6-8) Susan Reed and Tonya Ammons Meets 1st and 3rd Friday of the month and after school on Tuesdays.
    Art Club

    The goal is to provide an industrious environment for students to learn the duties and responsibilities of maintaining a successful club and to have fun exploring personal talents and art experiences.  Upcoming activities will be discussed and decided upon with club members.  A 25$ fee will be collected for supplies. (6-8)

    Candace Matson Meets every other Tuesday of the month after school.
    Beta Club Recognizes academic excellence while learning the commitment to self, school, and community.  Seventh and eighth grade students with a grade point average of 3.5 (no grade below 80), who also exemplify strong character and have maintained role model behavior, are eligible to apply for membership in the Flat Rock Junior Beta Club. (7-8) Alicia Watson, Kimberly Simpson, and Cynthia Odom Meets 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.
    Black History Program Club Discuss ideas and concepts and build the Black History Program together. (6-8) Roderick Sylvester Meets 1st and 4th Friday of the month.
    Builder's Club  Student led community service organization.  Members develop self-awareness as they discover their passion to serve, their desire to lead and their ability to engage and collaborate with others. Service to school and community become a way of life! (6-8) TBA Meets the 1st Friday of the month. Food drives, clothing drives, etc.
    Card Games Club

    Learn to play various card games, including: Rummy, Cribbage, Phase 10, Uno, Spades, and Poker in this club. (6-8)

    Club Amigos   A club to speak your native language and share your culture. (6-8)   Jacqueline Bordon and Xavier Bonilla   6th and 7th grade meet 2nd Friday of the month. 8th grade meet the 3rd Friday of the month. All grades meet the 4th Friday of the month. 
    Color Me Calm Club Do you have a creative streak that enjoys coloring and calm music? If so this club is for you! (6-8) Catherine Oliveri, Karima Tourreilles, and Jennifer Heard Meets every Friday of the month.
    Drama Club Drama Club is for students who are serious about theatre and acting! We'll cap this club at about 40 *paid* members. Drama Club will focus on theatre games, learning how to audition, and becoming stronger performers. We'll have guest speakers from both the theatre and film community, and we'll collaborate with the high school Drama department. This is a high-demand club, so if you're interested, pay your club fee ASAP to reserve your spot! (6-8) Emma Majure and LaDell Fortune Meets every Friday of the month and every other Friday after school.
    Eagle Wings

    Students in this club will serve as Student Ambassadors, and give new students tours of the school.  Additionally, they will attend special topic meetings with guest speakers. (7-8)

    Explorers of the Deep

    Investigate challenges that ocean scientists, engineers, and technologists are currently exploring through games and challenges. (6-8)

    Sarah Thompson Meets the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.
    Fellowship of Christian Athletes

    FCA is open to all students and staff of FRMS. Although the name of the club is "Fellowship of Christian Athletes" we want ALL students to know they are welcome to attend. During our meetings we share prayer requests and hear some challenging words from God's Word, the Bible. The students and sponsors involved in FCA are seeking to be a source of encouragement, positive influence, and service to our FRMS community and wherever we go. (6-8)

    Geimere Latimer Meets the 2nd Friday of the month.
    Food Forest PERKS of joining Food Forest Club:  Possibility of being elected as a club officer, Garden training (weeding, seeding, harvesting, etc)  & Eating food that you grow! Special Members only Garden Events and Trips!  

    There is a $20 fee, which includes a club shirt, and that money will go towards building up our program, purchasing plants and supplies, etc.  Additional club shirts can be purchased for $20. Fees can be paid via cash / check / or MySchoolBucks. Initial club fees paid via MySchoolBucks are $22 due to included service fees. (6-8)

    International Club

    This club is for anyone who likes to learn about different cultures. Get hands on cultural experience in the International Club! (8)

    Jacqueline Bordon and Tanya Kapoor Meets the 1st Friday of the month.
    Journalism Club Learn basic journalism skills including the process of interviewing, selecting key points for an article, choosing powerful images for their stories, and more. (6-8) Christie Morris Meets 2nd and 3rd Friday of the month.
    Math Team Selected students will compete in regional math competitions. Nateil Carby and Sharon Brooks Meets 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.
    Mighty Girls Book Club Based on the idea that our girls will be inspired by the girls and women featured in the contemporary middle grade and young adult literature selected. (6-8) Jacqueline Miller and Cassie Upshaw Meets the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.
    Orchestra

    This club is for students who are already in orchestra with Ms. Davis.  Students may sign up in class to come and receive extra help, retake assignments, or practice with a friend. (6-8)

    Photo Club

    The goal is to provide an industrious environment for students to learn the duties and responsibilities of maintaining a successful club and to have fun exploring personal talents and photography experiences.  There will be a teaching technique discussed each week as well as weekly challenge assignments. We want to have fun and learn at the same time! Phone cameras as well as other types of cameras are to be used. Activities will include learning to take photos and photo exhibits. (6-8)

    PBIS Council

    Assist in planning PBIS events and promoting PBIS to fellow students.

    Podcast Club Build a Flat Rock Eagles podcast from the ground up with music, interview topics, questions, graphics, and more. (6-8) Jaime Vandergrift Meets every Friday of the month.
    Step Team Fosters sportsmanship and school spirit. (7-8) Kendra Brown Practice after school as needed to promote school spirit at various sporting events and assemblies.
    Tome Society

    Selected students will compete in the Tome Society Reading Bowl. (6-8)

    Yearbook Club

    Selected students in this club will help with picture submissions and articles for yearbook as well as cover design. (6-8)
