Intramurals Information for 6th Grade

6th Grade Intramurals

J.​ ​C.​ ​Booth​ ​Middle​ ​School​ ​will​ ​be​ ​starting​ ​an ​ after​ ​ school​ ​ intramural​ ​ sports​ ​ ​program every ​ ​Thursday,​ ​beginning​ ​October 5th - April 25th.​  ​This ​​intramural ​​program ​ ​will​ ​be ​ open​ ​​to ​all​ 6​​​ grade​ ​ students.​ ​ It​​ ​will ​start​ ​ at​​ dismissal​ ​ ​from​  school​ ​ (3:10)​ ​ and​ ​ end​ ​ at​ ​ ​4:10. ​ ​Each student​ ​will​ ​have​ ​to​ ​arrange​ his/her​ ​own​​ ​ride​ ​home. An Infinite Campus blast will be sent out prior to 2pm on the day of intramurals if we must cancel due to weather or loss of our space.  Please make sure your student knows how they should get home if we cancel.

This​ ​program​ ​is​ ​voluntary.​  ​Those ​ ​who ​ stay​ ​ after​ ​ school​ ​ will​ ​ ​be ​ placed​ ​ on​ ​ ​teams ​ for​ game​ ​play.​  ​Various​ ​sports​ ​will​ ​be​ ​offered​ ​throughout​ ​the​ year​ ​ including​ ​ flag​ ​ football,​ soccer,​ ​softball,​ ​volleyball,​ ​and​ ​other​ ​games.  

If​ ​you​ ​think​ ​that​ ​you ​ want​​  to​ ​ stay​ ​ for​ ​ intramurals​​  any​ ​ time​ ​​during ​ the​ ​ school​ ​ year​ ​ you​ must​ ​have​ ​the​ ​permission​ ​slip​ ​provided​ ​below ​ signed​​  by​ ​ a​ ​ parent​ ​ or​ ​ guardian​ ​ and​ returned ​ to​ ​ Coach​ ​ Darcy​ ​ in​ ​ the​ ​ ​P.E.​ ​Department ​ as​ ​ soon​ ​ as​​  possible.​ 

Even​ ​if​ ​you​ ​want​ ​to​ ​play​ ​just​ ​softball for example​ ​in​ ​the​ ​spring,​ ​you​ ​must ​ go​ ​ ahead​ ​ ​and ​ ​turn ​ in​ ​ your​ permission​ ​form.​  ​Also,​ ​players​ ​are​ ​expected​ ​to​ ​donate​ $50.00​ ​ to​ ​ offset​ ​ rising​ ​ costs​ ​ ​to replace​ ​equipment.​  ​You can also pay by using the link https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/prdembd?ref=ZZI62QSD4E04T1K_ZZ5ZP421GK5OB5Q

There is a $1.40 convenience fee automatically added to use MySchoolBucks.  The $50 fee ​is ​ a​ one-time​ ​fee​ ​that​ ​once​ ​paid,​ ​will​ ​allow​ ​the​ ​student​ ​to​ ​participate​ ​at​ ​anytime​ ​during​ ​the school​ ​year. 

If​ ​you​ ​stay​ ​for​ ​intramurals ​ please​ ​ remember:​ ​ ​Intramurals​ ​is​ ​over​ ​at​ ​4:10 ​and​​ we​​ ​expect students​ ​to​ ​be​ ​picked​ ​up​ ​no​ ​later​ ​than ​ 4:25.​ ​ If​ ​ your​ ​ child​ ​ is​ ​ still​ ​ on​ ​ campus​​  

after​ ​ 4:25​ , they​ ​will​ ​receive​ ​a​ ​written​ ​warning​ ​in​ regards​ ​ ​to ​their​​ ​needing​ ​to​ ​be​ ​picked​ ​up​ ​by ​​4:25. If​ ​it​ ​happens​ ​again,​ ​they​ ​will​ ​be​ ​asked​ ​not​ ​to​ ​return ​ to​ ​ intramurals.​

later than​ 4:25.​  For sports played on the football field, cars will pick-up at the football field.  Please form one  line and do not park in the bus loop spaces since students will not be able to walk to you for safety purposes.  For all sports played in the gym, pickup will be just like after school pick-up in the front of the school.  If you do not see activity on the football field, report to the front of the school.  I have included my $50 payment.
