• Peer Mediation

Did you know that Whitewater Middle School has a peer mediation team? Peer mediation is a student-facilitated program in which trained students help their classmates resolve conflicts.

Teachers, administrators, and students can make referrals for peer mediation. If both students in conflict agree to mediation, then a conference is set up. The peer mediators do not counsel or give advice; rather, they guide the students into resolving the conflict by coming up with solutions.

Encourage your child to learn to solve their own problems - try mediation! See your/your student's counselor for more information.
