USDA Recognizes Fayette’s School Nutrition Program

The Fayette County Public School System’s School Nutrition Program (SNP) was one of three in the state to receive a special recognition from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).USDA Recognizes Fayette’s School Nutrition Program

Fayette’s SNP won the UDSA Foods 70th Anniversary Celebration award for excelling in the usage of USDA foods in its cafeterias for the 2016-2017 school year. Three trophies were awarded according to school system size. Fayette received the award for the large school system division.

Kokeeta Wilder, director of Fayette’s school nutrition program, accepted the award at the Georgia School Nutrition Association’s National School Lunch Week kick-off luncheon in Macon.

The mission of Fayette’s SNP is to provide future leaders with nutritional, quality meal choices through education and friendly service in a caring environment.
