The school system’s nutrition staff nominated and voted on the individual they felt was the most qualified for the award, and best exemplified reliability, dedication, a hard work ethic, and positive attitude. School Nutrition Director Kokeeta Wilder says MacEachern exudes all of these qualities and more. MacEachern has worked for the school system for 10 years, and became the manager at Huddleston in January 2014.

“We are proud of her and appreciate all that she does for the school nutrition program at Huddleston,” says Wilder.

Named in honor of the district’s longest serving school nutrition director (22 years) who lost her battle with cancer in January 2007, the Cheryl Calhoun Award recognizes nutrition managers who exemplify the professional qualities demonstrated by Calhoun: dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence.
