Schools Earn Highest Performing and Great Gains Awards from Governor’s Office

A total of eight Fayette County schools are among the 226 Georgia public schools in 54 districts that received highest performance and/or greatest gains school awards from the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement based on scores from the College and Career Performance Index (CCRPI).Schools Earn Highest Performing and Great Gains Awards from Governor’s Office

            Highest performing schools must earn a three-year average CCRPI Achievement Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile. Greatest gains schools must earn a three-year average CCRPI Progress Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile. Each award category has a platinum, gold, silver, and bronze tier.         

            Kedron Elementary and McIntosh High each earned awards in both greatest gains and highest performing categories. Kedron Elementary received a bronze award in greatest gains and a gold award in highest performing. McIntosh High earned a gold award in greatest gains and a gold award in highest performing. These schools are among just 55 in 17 districts that received awards in both categories.

            Oak Grove Elementary received a platinum award and Whitewater Middle received a bronze award in the greatest gains category. A total of 139 schools across 50 districts received greatest gains awards.

            J.C. Booth Middle, Peachtree City Elementary, Peeples Elementary, and Rising Starr Middle each received awards in the highest performing category. J.C. Booth Middle a bronze award; both Peachtree City Elementary and Peeples Elementary received a silver award; and Rising Starr Middle earned a gold award. A total of 142 schools across 24 districts earned highest performing awards.
