For some students, school lunches are the main meal of the day. So what happens when school is out for the summer?Free Summer Meals for Students

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) offers free meals during the summer at locations throughout the nation, including Fayette County.

Interested parents can find a site near them by visiting www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks, texting the words “Summer Meals” to 97779, or calling 1-866-348-6479. No cost or enrollment is required. The program is open to all children under 18 years old.
