The school nutrition staff at J.C. Booth Middle knows how to keep the students filled up with nutritious and delicious meals. They were honored for a particularly tasty recent lunch by winning the Georgia School Nutrition Program’s Tray of the Week competition.
Featuring a BBQ sandwich with sides of mac and cheese, cole slaw, and watermelon, the tray was served up by Stephanie McClendon, Tatjana Campagna, Jacqueline Porter, Doretha Dempsey, and Elizabeth Hernandez.
Booth’s dish was crowned the winner by garnering the most likes on the Georgia School Nutrition Program’s Facebook page. It beat out trays from Brantley County, Coffee County, Morgan County, and Murray County to win the award.
