A pair of counselors from Fayette LIFE Academy were recently asked to share their expertise at a national conference. Dr. Beverly Brown and Dr. Carolyn McDermott presented at the National Alternative Education Association Conference in St. Louis, Missouri.
The title of the session was "Counseling in the Alternative Setting," and they presented the comprehensive counseling programs that encompass Horizon Academy, Open Campus Academy, and Fayette Virtual Academy. A detailed explanation was provided of the nature of the counseling programs and how they operate, relate, and collaborate.
