The Fayette County School System is fortunate to have award-winning fine arts programs in band, orchestra, chorus, drama, general music, and visual arts at all levels, from preschool through high school. All elementary schools have a full-time music and visual art specialist, with elementary students receiving instruction in the arts several times a week. All middle schools and high schools have full-time band, orchestra, chorus, and visual art specialists, and all of our high schools and most of our middle schools also have full-time drama specialists on staff providing daily instruction in the arts. One of the hallmarks of our system is the collaborative opportunities that our teachers create, giving students a more inclusive arts education experience. With many students participating regularly in all-state ensembles, honor ensembles, juried art shows, and drama competitions, arts education is alive and well in our system!
