Health & PE Textbook Adoption
ATTENTION: Fayette County's Materials Adoption Process is currently paused for the current school year.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are unable to resume our regularly scheduled meetings. We will update the community as we get additional information.
Fayette County Schools is looking for curriculum resources that will accelerate our students’ knowledge of Health and Physical Education topics to prepare students to lead healthy, physically active lives while engaging them in the use of 21st Century technology. Curriculum materials/textbooks need to be fully aligned to the Physical Education Georgia Standards of Excellence, Health Education Standards, and applicable state laws (i.e. Senate Bill 401, Georgia State Board Rule 160-4-2-.12, etc.).

INFORMATION FOR MATERIALS ADOPTION COMMITTEE
The Fayette County Board of Education is seeking members of the community to serve on the Materials Adoption Committee. The HPE Adoption Committee will be appointed by the Fayette County Board of Education and will meet to review and evaluate sample curricula materials. Committee members are carefully selected based upon their training and/or experiences in the respective disciplines (Health and/or Physical Education).

Interested committee members must complete the survey by October 31, 2019 - 4:00 PM for consideration. Interested committee members will be notified of their status by November 8, 2019.
INFORMATION FOR INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS VENDORS
Fayette County Schools is seeking materials to support the implementation of Health and Physical Education State Standards. Interested vendors should review procedure and guidelines on our Vendors Website: http://bit.ly/FayetteHPEAdoptionVendors. Vendors must complete the survey by October 31, 2019, 4:00 PM for instructional materials consideration. The HPE Materials Adoption Committee will review vendor survey responses in November and we will be in touch with instruction for advancing

FCBOE adheres to a CLOSED Textbook Adoption System. Please do NOT contact or send sample materials to teachers or schools during the Textbook Adoption Period. All questions and sample materials must go through the K-12 Health & Physical Education Coordinator and Counseling and Career Development Coordinator.
